The case shows wear at the edges along with many scratches and dings. The overall look of the case is dull and it is showing its age. Our goal in refinishing is to return the case to its original look. That means more than replacing the finish, it also means recreating the sharp edges and the overall look of the case when it was new.

Note the lack of matte finish on the outer edges. Also, the high polish in the center has been worn away. The two different finishes will need to be applied without removing too much material or rounding the edges.

Complete servicing of your watch includes case refinishing. Every effort is made to restore your watch to its original appearance. Much of this work is done by hand and in some cases can take longer than servicing the movement. Case refinishing is more than just polishing the case. We have the training and experience in the proper techniques to make your watch look right.

It’s all about the details. Even the case back gets special attention. Note the high polish on the outer edges with straight line graining in the center. This is just like the original finish. Special care must be taken not to remove the knurling as this is used to open the case.

Here is the completed watch and bracelet. Note the high polish on the side of the case and the center of the bracelet. Also, the matte finish has been restored and the edges of the case and bracelet are sharp and crisp again.
