Hamilton 992 Mongomery Dial #13190 Price $675
Here we have a truly outstanding railroad-grade Hamilton 992 pocketwatch C-1935 with an exceptional high polish ROSE case. The 16-size case is made of 14K Rose Gold fill. The high polish finish shows only the slightest hints of light shelf wear. It’s obvious this was very well cared for. The caseback is engraved with a very cool textured “S”. The case also comes with a correct glass crystal.
The watch features one of the nicest railroad dials – a true Hamilton Montgomery (note the 6 printed within the subseconds register – very cool). The double sunk white enamel dial looks just perfect, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. It’s accented with red accen 5-minute intervals, and topped off with railroad blued steel hands.
Powering the watch is a second generation Hamilton 992 movement. It features 21 Jewels, a micrometer regulator, and is marked adjusted to 5 positions. The movement is very nicely finished with striped damasking on its plates, a gold center wheel, gold bezel set jewels, and gold timing screws on the balance.
The price includes full restoration and repair. The work will be performed after purchase. This entails proper service of the movement, a new mainspring, and anything else that would be necessary to bring the watch into proper working order.
Once you've made your purchase, please contact us so we may discuss the restoration.
Please allow 1-2 weeks after purchase for service to be completed.
Our goal is to achieve what we refer to as "Sympathetic Restoration"; in other words, bringing the watch back as close as possible to its original appearance without the need to remove all signs of its former life. We don't want to dramatically change its history.
During the restoration, we only use we only use period-correct parts, and in most cases, genuine factory parts from the same time period as the watch.
