LeCoultre PowerWind Automatic Item #1614 Price $1050 Rarely seen model in all original condition. This 1950's LeCoultre PowerWind features an original screw-back stainless steel case measuring 33.5mm. The case is in outstanding condition and retains all of its original angles and sharp edges. In other words it has not been over polished. The high grade movement is the LeCoultre cal. 481, bumper automatic wind with 17 jewels. The dial and hands are all original and look outstanding. There are marks at 3:30 as seen in the pictures, but that's it. The luminous on the dial and hands has aged perfectly. As you can see, the luminous on the hands shows a bit more age, but still looks great. What makes the LeCoultre PowerWind models unique is they have a window at 12:00 showing the power reserve. The scale is to 40 hours with the last 10 are in red. Considering this watch is over 50 years old, the condition in truly outstanding for a used, vintage timepiece. It is running well and keeping very good time. It comes on a new brown leather strap. |
