Rolex Oyster Date ref. 1500 #1624 Sold

This 1961 Rolex Chronometer Oyster Date is in all original condition and looks great. The movement is the cal. 1560 with its original Butterfly Rotor. The 1560 movement features 25 jewels, auto winding and non-quickset date at 3:00. The off-white dial and gold dauphine hands are original and have never been refinished. There is some aging, but still very nice considering the watch is nearly 50 years old. The watch has been fully serviced including a new mainspring. The case has been refinished and a new casetube installed. It also has new gaskets and has passed a pressure test. It comes on a new black lizard strap.
