Rolex Submariner, ref. 16800 Item #1630 Sold

These ref. 16800 Subs have become very collectable. This model is also referred to as the "Transitional Sub". Transitional because it was produced for a very short time in-between the 1680 and 16610 models. It was the first Sub with a Sapphire crystal, glossy dial and gold surround dial markers, all features of the current models. In fact this one has been updated. It was sent in for service some time ago and received a new dial, hands, crystal, crown and bezel insert. All genuine Rolex and all in near perfect condition. This Sub is powered by the 27 Jewel chronometer grade auto-wind movement, cal. 3035 with quickset date. Serial number is 8445XXX, made in 1985. It comes on its original Oyster bracelet model 93150 that is in very good used condition. The case and bracelet has been refinished matching its original condition. This well cared for Sub shows only minor signs of wear. Fully serviced, pressure tested and ready for daily wear. It comes with a service box, polishing cloth and booklet.
