Rolex ref. 4497 14K Gold Item #1689 Price $2375

Outstanding condition on this rare 1940's Rolex solid gold chronometer. The signed 14K gold case features wonderful fluted downturned lugs. The extended lugs have great detail as seen in the pictures. The case measures 34 mm without the crown and lugs. The nickel plated chronometer movement is signed superbalance, timed to seven positions, numbered E13855. The off white dial looks great with the gold hands and blued steel sweep center seconds. The dial shows some aging, but still very nice.

The watch has been correctly serviced with a new mainspring and the crystal is new. The case was only lightly refinished. That is all it needed. The watch comes on a new black Lizard strap. Great Watch, Wonderful Lugs!
