Girard-Perregaux Stainless Steel Alarm Watch #2357 ON HOLD
Outstanding, all original condition on this late 50’s Alarm wristwatch from Girard Perregaux.
Housed in a high polish stainless steel case with sweeping lugs and a screw-on caseback. It measures 34.3mm across at its widest point without the crowns and 41.6mm from lug to lug. The crown at 2 o’clock sets and winds the alarm and, and the crown at 4 winds the watch and sets the hands.
The watch also features a very cool original finish dial with applied, faceted stainless steel hour markers, with coffin markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9. Matching stainless steel/luminous hands top it all off. There is some paint missing on some of the numbers on the alarm disk, though it’s still very readable and again, the finish is all original. We decided it was best to take it that way.
Powered by a GP-signed 17-Jewel Swiss made movement. The movement has been recently serviced and is keeping very good time, with its alarm sounding nice and loud. It comes ready to wear on a handmade Italian leather sport strap with contrast stitching.
